Slamming Car Door
I don't know where this topic would go but yeah, regardless, I was wondering if slamming a car door daily will do damage to it? I don't know what constitutes as 'hard' but every time I give my cousin a ride back and from school, she slams it hard enough that it makes me flinch without fail when I hear it from the outside. I've told her to ease up a bunch of times but she says she 'forgets' every time.

what i hate is when people use the b-pillar to close doors or hold them open... thats what the handle is for ESPECIALLY since i have chrome pillars~ damm finger prints

I get annoyed when people slam my doors too. I don't think it does any damage - cars are built stronger than that - it's just the point that they REALLY don't need to do that.

As with llamaboiz and Micaiah, I find it annoying when I have passengers slamming my doors. I doubt theres any damage being done to the car itself, but it's just a nuisance for me.

My friend's IS got slammed often and then the door kinda malfunctioned
the door would not fully close and suck in when he let go of his hand about 6 inch while closing the door
for suck in i don't mean like the LS will automatically suck in when the door is not fully closed
its like when you let go of the door it will close like there's a gravitational pull pulling the door close, if you guys understand what i mean... LOL

its ok but overtime, certain mechanical parts COULD fail sooner such as window up/down motor or locking mechanism.
my previous 2000 chrysler 300m (shxt) that I had during college years, had this damage esp on passenger side.

I don't mind the slamming of doors, but the slamming of the boot lid really ticks me off. Unlike the doors, the boot doesnt have to be "slammed" hard to properly close. I also hate the rattling of the licence plate when it slammed so hard.

This is funny but this is the only car I'd ever owned that I let the doors close themselves, especially the driver side. I open the door to where I can get in then just let go, it swings back and shuts itself (badass...!)

I do this too! Thought I was the only one. I usually get in really quickly so the door closes without me having to pull it. Same with getting out, I ninja my way out as quickly as possible and it closes. Looks automatic to me
