Default Thinking about leather wrapping my dash and doing blue stitching

Does anyone have any EDUs on how to remove the dash? I want to bring it down and have it done.

My dash melted on both sides and is sticky so it needs to get fixed because it's driving me crazy!

I think it would look nice. If you still have a factory warranty I'd bring it in and have them replace it. I had a similar problem and mine was replaced at no charge.

Pardon my ignorance, but what are EDUs?

I bought the car in Miami and ISx50s have a problem with the dashes melting in hot climates.

The car has 62k miles so I don't think they're going to cover it under the powertrain warranty now

Marexus,

Give Down South Vettes (dsvettes) a shout. They were going to do my arm rest lid cover but I never got around to taking it off to send in. They do a lot of great custom leather work on mostly corvettes but also luxury cars. They are quick to communicate and will do ANYTHING you want.

Maybe you could find a decently shaped dash in a junkyard/eBay to send to them? Shipping may be the killer, but it would likely be worth it.

This has got me back to remembering how uncomfortable the arm rest lid is... Maybe it's time i get back in contact with DSVettes as well.

ya you're out of luck sorry bro.

The same thing happened to me. I bought my car from Ft Lauderdale and drove it back to Orlando. I really didn't notice the issues until a month or two after owning it.

You could always take it to Lexus and see what they can do. In another thread a guy had the same issue and his dealer replaced it and he was only out like 200 bucks since he got corporate involved.

Do you have any photo's of the melted dash area? Has Lexus addressed this issue at all?

Oo wow that's ****ty good luck get it replaced by Lexus and by on of those things you put on the inside of the windshield to block the sun...it will save you some money or you can go your route and spend a bunch of money to get your dash wraped in leather...either way hope you find a solution
