how to apply touch up paint pen?

Default how to apply touch up paint pen?

i got some rock chips on my fenders, i bought a touch up paint pen from lexus, i applied one coat on it, but it won't fill the chip, should i apply more coating until it's filled? or just apply the clear coat on it?, it's making it more obvious now can anyone please teach me.

That depends upon how big the chip is. Are you using the brush part or the pen part?

Either way, I'd do it a few times with drying time of at least 20 - 30 mins between each application. It will shrink down as it dries. Then clear coat.

On the pen part did you open up the top and throw away the orange cap? I learned the hard way lol

I think the orange thing prevented the paint from going up the pen reservoir and clogging it when it's not in used. All I know is I can't use it anymore.

never use the tip for final coat, use a pointy toothpick. put some paint on a piece of plastic, take a small amt of paint on the tootpick tip and touch it to the center of the chip... let capillary action do the rest

I take it Mica and DD are of the fairer sex?
