I faced the same decision in December on the same dealer lot. Came down to two choices, new 2011 IS 350 F Sport, first choice in exterior and interior color, all the right options to include F Sport accessories or used 2008 IS-F in Ultrasonic Blue, well optioned. Both were tempting, but new won out over used and the 2011 IS 350 was the better daily driver for me. I have another car, a MB SLK 55, that's not practical as a daily driver and that was a big influence. In retrospect, zero regrets. I must admit, the 2011 LED DRLs are my favorite feature, and I love the IS 350 F Sport.

Hahaha I always sit in new cars and fart so I know some Texas cars have my flatulence in them...

I was in the same dilemma when I was searching for a new car. There were 3used ISF's that fell into my price range at the time, however, I really wanted the AWD for the harsh winters we have here. I regretted my decision the first time that I bought a vehicle for not springing for the AWD so this time around I put the performance greed aside and went with practicality. I ended up with an 11 IS350 AWD and am very happy with my decision...I could actually drive into my cul de sac and into my garage this winter! Prevous winters with the RWD was decent not great and I didnt want to have to park accross the street again in fear of getting stuck. If you don't have to deal with a ton of snow, go for the ISF!

IS-FTMW. I would never buy a new car anyway, way too much depreciation. If you want new, buy one that's <6 months old from someone that has buyer's remorse.

if the F is a low mileage one, less than 20k miles, than definitely get the F. after the IS redesign in a year or so a brand new IS350 today will just be another IS300 we're seeing now on the street. current style IS-F meanwhile will still linger on for an extra year or so after the redesign. even after the IS-F redesign all F cars are still belong to an exclusive group, whereas the 350s will just be another dime a dozen IS sedan.

To me, if they were both very close in price, it would come down to how much difference insurance would be on the two.

If you can afford insurance and the gas mileage difference - get the F.

You know you want to
