The ride is a lot harder especially on the early ones. I had an ISF loaner and found the seats too tight for a DD. I was glad to get my 350 back. The power is great but geez how often would you use it? I think your age will be a factor. If you are young get the F. If you are middle age or older get the 350.

Hey Guys,
Still shoppin for a car obvisiously and i just need help again with the car dilemna.(Im buyin a Lexus no matter what now...
)
As stated above, would you guys buy a used 08-09 ISF or 11 IS350?
I love the ISF but i have this feeling that if i buy a used ISF, the person who owned it before me most likely drove it pretty hard and if they drive like me then they really wouldve drove the crap outta the car...![Smilie](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
If I buy a new IS350 then i know that it wasnt abused or anything...coming straight off the lot without being owned by anyone else.
My range is 40k. so the used ISF's come into my range...Id be really happy if i could get the F since there is only 1 F ive seen by where I live and i know the son (his dad owns the car)...he goes to school with me
BTW how is the cost of maintenance of both cars compared to eachother? are they about the same or is the F more?
Thanks, much appreciated

I went through the same debate a few months ago, same budget.
I really wanted an IS-F, for performance, more unique, and styling. However, the used market was still rather high for a decent condition (2008, under 30K miles, mostly asking 45K, could probably get it somewhere around that price out the door with taxes/fees)
However, it was towards the end of the MY10 production run, and I knew the fleet manager at a dealer who sold us our last lexus less than a year ago. In addition, lexus has the promotional $3k dealer rebate. all said and done, my dealer had 1 2010 is350 left (any 2010 IS for that matter), so I jumped on it.
It's true, It probably did depreciate quickly, but I got a great deal on it, and he even hooked it up with a special interest rate, as it would not qualify for both the #3k and the .9% financing from lexus financial.
From driving it around daily, it's plenty fast enough, and I don't need any more speeding tickets/accidents. I also don't plan to sell it, my family has a history of keeping cars until they hit 200K miles, so depreciation isn't as much of a factor for me. As long as it makes you happy.
And I figured, if i had an IS-F i knew i was going to sell, return lease, I would drive it like i stole it.
Good luck!

defiantly the F!, if you get the IS350 you will probably regret it every time you see the F. not saying the 350 isnt a good car i have an 06 350 and love it but if i had the option to get the F i would in a heart beat.

Im not even gonna read your post. Go with the F. Im guessing higher cost of maintnance but im sure you can spend less money on other stuff to be able to keep the car going.

NEITHER.
With a new IS on the horizon roughly one year from now, why commit so much now to have an "older body style" not to mention resale value when the third gen drops?
Unless you don't care about that sort of thing.
I'm in the process of deciding exactly when to unload my 350 right now...
