Where should I get the interior power wire? I am a noob so the most dumbed down explanation would be great. Pics?

I realize OP got the interior power resource by tapping into his sunshade switch, I do not have have one tho. Even so I have no idea how to tell which exact wire to tap and how? T-Tap?

Also, no idea how to ground out the switch...

Thanks, I apologize for lack of basic knowledge

I recently performed this mod in fact I've had the mod completed for many months to an after market switch under the dash. Until recently I began accidentally leaving my foglights on which drained my battery requiring a few jump starts. I then decided purchasing this OEM Toyota switch from my local toyota parts department and relocating the switch to the auxiliary panel with and indicator lamp would solve the problem of leaving them on and quite honestly look rather professional. The switch cost me about $42.00 plus tax which isn't cheap but in my opinion worth the end result. Because I did not purchase the wiring harness it made it difficult to wire the switch however I used gold plated audio terminals which were the smallest ones I could find and they fit pretty well however the insulation made them too thick to fit them next to each other. Then I pulled just the terminal portion out of the insulation crimped them to the wires and heat shrink tubed them since they would be so close to each other. Initially I wired the switch identical to the wiring diagram above although I didnt bother with the backlight wiring. But as stated at first only the passenger fog light came on then I switched the wire coming from the white wire on the switch with the wire coming from the green with the silver stripe and the inline fuse as well as the jumper for the indicator light. And everything worked perfect the only side note I have is when you take the switch apart to switch the light bulbs be careful where the brass U shaped contact is so you can reinstall it correctly. Actually the lights just twist out you might be able to switch them without taking it apart. Anyway I'm really proud of completing this modification and the rather professional looking finished product. Goodluck and enjoy.
