Default Bluetooth & Droid Pro - No worky

The dealer setup my Curve, but it was stolen. Now I have a Droid. I tried pairing it, but cant get it to officially connect. 30 minutes of wasted time. Any tips or pointers? I'd hate to go back to the dealer to get this done...

Does your phone see the "HandsFree" from the car?

2010 - non navi. the phone already broke ("R" key stopped working on the second day) so i need to go back to verizon and get a new one. ill see what they say ab syncing it...maybe if i park close enough, i could get them to come over to the car. i hate this smartphone bull****. sometimes i wish i just got a simple dinosaur flip phone.

Are you putting the right password? I'm not sure exactly how it is done with Non-Navi (I have Navi) but it sync'd up super fast on my Galaxy S which is also a Android Phone.

I get these problems from time to time at the dealer I work at. Here's my common troubleshooting fixes:

If the phone is not working (but already paired), a common troubleshoot is the bluetooth on the phone could be turned off (happens on mine from time to time). Set the phone to discoverable mode and make sure the bluetooth is set to "on". You should see the bluetooth symbol somewhere no the phones top banner.

If this does not work, another common option is to just remove the battery from the phone, blow on it and turn the phone back on. Sometimes the smartphones (typically BB or iPhone) freeze up the connection. If this doesn't work either, you can try repairing the phone:

Use the push to talk switch and the voice should layout some commands. One of which is "phone set-up". Say phone set-up and continue with the voice instructions by hitting the push to talk switch and saying "yes" "pair phone" etc... Meanwhile from the bluetooth menu in your phone (probably under settings, make sure the phone is set to "discoverable mode". Once the phone is searching, "Hands Free" or "Car Multi-Media" should show up on your phone. Select the pair button and you should be prompted with a pass key (four digits + enter) it's usually 1111, 0000 or 1212 etc...

From the phone, in the blue-tooth menu, if It tells you the phone is paired but not connected, try selecting the "connection" ie hands-free/car multi-media. I had an LG Vortex smartphone that was paired but I had to manually connect it everytime I got into the car. I since replaced the phone.

Hope the info helps
