I've had that before....not a huge deal. Just look at it every once in a while. You'll be fine. Welcome to CL.

You don't think you would have any rubbing issues with upsizing to the 235.
I'm the same way, I'm super ****, park in the most secluded spots to avoid people parking next to me, no food in the car, and keep a cooler in the trunk for things that smell =)

I believe it was from a pothole, but I don't recall hitting any pothole too deep. Might have just been my luck, the way it sank into the pothole, and the edge of the road cut the sidewall.

As for upsizing, I thought I read on here a few people have done it with minor rubbing during full lock, but I could be mistaken. Even in the first picture i posted, you can see the difference in front and back tires, the fronts look too narrow, unlike the rears. (again, me probably being OCD)

I'll definitely watch our for bubbling. And At this point, it would be better to just find a new tire, there was only 1600 miles on that one.

Now time to figure out how to glue it. Either super glue, glue gun, or rubber cement.

Thanks for the advice and warm welcome everyone!

With only 1600 miles don't you think he could get away with 1 tire? Be it 1 or 2 I would replace. Any chance you bought the wheel and tire package when you bought your car?

The wheels/tires are the optional set that came with the car. If so, does lexus provide some complimentary road hazard package?

I know lexus will do free balancing/alignment for first year or 20K miles, whichever is first, but I figured for road hazard damage, they would blame me.

As an update, I just came back finished gluing it back together! I used a Loctite SuperGlue Gel that's okay for rubber. Can't tell its cut besides the slight seal as recommended by DigitalDon.

I will definitely be driving more carefully and monitoring it as often as possible. Thanks again guys!

As for upsizing, mostly cosmetic I suppose, i know the contact patch won't do much for performance. It just seems to me the current setup has the fronts looking almost "stretched" where the rears fit a little better.

I've seen your name thrown around here and there, brociouz, what is your advice? Judging by your sig, you're on the Hankook Ventus Evo V12s? What do you think about them?

If I had to change the tire, I was thinking either buy 1 OEM Bridgestone ER33 to match the rest, or change out both front tires for the Hankooks. Would have ended up being about the same price, and could have kept the other good ER33 as a spare.
IMO, the Hankook V12s are by far the best bang for your buck tire out there.
