Well, guess I don't know what else I can do or what to think at this point...
Plan was to trade my 3-Series and try an IS 250 and the Lexus brand for the first time. However, it seems Lexus doesn't really care about earning my business or that I've been faced with such difficulties trying to become a Customer.
Very strange, times are tough for everyone and I would have especially thought a car company would welcome the opportunity for a sale and Lexus in particular would be striving to repair a recall damaged reputation.
Not that it apparently matters but I will be sure to share my Lexus experiences.

I agree it sucks but this is part of what makes Japanese manfacturers so efficient. In other words, they don't want to make a special order. You also have to look at it from the dealers side. Someone can order a special order car, the car is produced and the customer changes his/her mind, the deposit is refunded and voila a dealer has an odd duck to sell. All you can do is expand your circle and call dealers until you find one that wants to special order otherwise you dead in the water. I hate to sound rough but Lexus absolutely sucks on special orders.
