How old are those wheels?? I had a set of Asantis peel on me last year and I sent them back to them and they worked with me on refinishing them. See if WORK will work with you (no pun intended) if not tell them you will make sure your next set isn t WORK and you ll post pics of their ****ty peeling wheels all over the web good luck!!

Most wheel companies do not warranty a Black Chrome finish on wheels due to the fact that it is such a fragile finish and is VERY prone to peeling/flaking.

Honestly bro, i would just get them refinished to a different color and if you want to get them back quicker, do it locally! 6 or more months to get them refinished is ridiculous!

Good luck bro, sorry to see this happen to you!

P21s is not strong, not acidic. I use this product on all my customers cars and can even be used on the cars paint.
Looks like a defect with the wheels or possibly previous owner used something to strong before.

P21s is the best wheel cleaner out there because its not strong and it cleans very well. Thats why its used by a lot of professional detailers. I honestly think something got on your wheels, because P21S would not do that type of damage to ur wheels. Maybe some type of chemical got on your wheels.

Sorry to hear that Jack! How about peeling all the black chrome off and leave it silver?

yea cleaner would not have done that...did you buy them from WORK or second hand? Maybe they were painted in a cheap manner like spray can clear...ive seen it before in the honda scene. Go on ebay and look at those "send us your stocks and we will chrome them- exchange program" vendors. Look for one near your area, call them and tell them you have a set of non OEMs you need re-dipped in chrome or black chrome (they do both).

You might get lucky.

muggy, sorry to hear about your Work wheels. i don't use wheel cleaner or soap, just water and soft cloth towel.

i had my Work wheels repaired recently (hit big pothole on Oak street back in Dec, bent 2 rims ). i had SR auto group source out a wheel repair shop for me. give them a call and tell them patrick in the black GS hybrid sent you, and see what they can do for you. pm me if you have any questions. good luck

Best route would be powder coating the wheels in different color, take only a few days and much cheaper than re-chrome your wheels.

thanks for the suggestions guys. Had the wheels more than 2 years now. I have a huge feeling it might be due to salt on the road. Just sticked the wheels on 2 weeks ago since it practically never snowed, than this happened... I need to start calling up shops on monday.

My question now is, if I powder coat my wheels, can they only do the face of the wheel and leave the lip alone? Another question is, am I able to get the wheel shop to sand down the wheel and polish it into brushed Aluminum finish look?

These look like they're 2 piece wheels, if they are then they can take the centers off and refinish them and all they would have to do after is reseal them and you would be good to go!

Btw, brushed aluminum is such a beautiful and clean finish!! I say go for it!
