Need help asap!! (IS350 vandalized)
A friends IS350 got messed with last night. They egged it and stuck jolly ranchers on it. How can we get it off?? Is there a safe way to remove them so that it doesnt mess up the paint?

wow, ummmmm..... I think hot water (not boiling) running over the jolly ranchers will get that off. As for the eggs, I think the car wash will take care of that.
Then you want to clay-bar and wax...
then garage....

That's a shame. I'm assuming this is your friend's black 09+ IS350. I've parked next to it a couple of times (I have a TP 09 IS350) in front of Gregory gym and played pick up ball with him a few times as well (year ago) back when I was at UT. I'm assuming this happened on campus?
Did it happen in front of gregory or elsewhere?
The safest garage to park in is manor garage hands down. It's relatively far away from campus (but not too far) and nobody wants to park there anyway. It's definitely a safe haven. I've never heard of or seen any vandalism occur in manor garage.

Nope, this is a different friend. He has an 09 SGM IS350. It was parked in front of his apt complex in West Campus which does not have a garage. We have an idea of who it was, but have no proof. Its definitely not random drunk kids walking around and deciding to choose that one specific car to egg and put jolly ranchers all over.

That's even worse, SGM is such a sexy color. Sucks man. Hope you find the perpetrator.
I had my car vandalized while parked in front of Houston's (now called Bartlett's - http://www.bartlettsaustin.com/ ) off west anderson lane. It's a reasonably up scale restaurant, so I was surprised when I found my passenger side window smashed in and my backpack stolen.
By the way if you haven't checked out Bartlett's yet, I highly recommend it. Great place to take your girlfriend for a romantic dinner date. They have terrific baby back ribs.

Might have to call insurance o this one. You can wash the crap off but egg shells will shatter the paint. After it's clean look close at the points on impact and I'll bet you'll see little cuts in the paint that go down to the e-coat. That can only be fixed by sanding them out and re-painting. Good luck.

I'd stay away from any power washing since that may strip stuff. If it was me I'd soak everything with a quick detailers (to add lubrication) then just run warmish water over it to get it to budge on it own without lifting anything. Someone actually egg'd my older car when I used to park it in front of my place, along with a garbage truck taking my side mirror off. I've learned my lesson to park in the back and out of sight! Haters are gonna hate.
