V-LEDS 5000K Pure White Strip Light 6 LEDs...Not Really...
#17
I guess it just took a few days to post. I still use V-LEDS since they do have good products and service. I just wanted others to be aware of this particular item. I just wish the strips would have matched since they output a good amount of light and are easy to install anywhere.

****? Not sure about that. I think anyone would want their lighting to match. For example; would you replace only one of your 4100K OEM HIDs with a 6000K bulb? It wouldn't match and wouldn't look good. To answer your question. Yes. You can tell as all of the LEDs are bright. It's a nice crisp white color until you look down at the footwells. If I had 6000K LEDs throught, I guess it would be a moot point. I just didn't want others to purchase these and expect them to match and have to send them back. I'll be installing the 194 sockets later today with 5000K 194 bulbs and all should be good

Just finished the install of the 194 sockets. I installed them where the OEM LED is placed. It actually fit in there perfectly. I then tapped the wires and ran them along the side and under the carpet and mounted a set under each of the front seats towards the rear for the rear footwells. The light is dispersed nice and even. It's nice and bright and matches the rest of the interior since it's the same bulb. Put it in gear....and they all dim. Looks very classy and similiar to my BMW.

Here are a few pics from my install. The pics are a bit grainy, but the lights are very bright.
194 socket w/5000K bulb:
Installed in OEM LED location:
OEM:
194 5000K:
Rear socket placement.:
I pulled back the carpet attached w/hooks under the rear seat for access:
Rear footwells. A nice touch:
I may go with these (as long as they color match) for the rear footwells as the bulb does hang down a bit and may get bumped by a passengers foot.

If the light is as purple as these pics, VLEDs needs to change the advertising for these particular LED's to 6000k or something and not deceive buyers into thinking they're something different.

Well I've had good experiences with VLED's. Your best bet is to contact them and see what they'll do for ya. If anything they should give you a full refund due to misleading (which I'm sure it's an honest mistake. can you imagine making a website to keep track of ALL those LEDs? And you actually have to go through all of them? Killer).
But hey it could always be worse. Great thing about the US is um, you do have a return policy. Buy something from China (where I'm from) and they'll advertise it as real, sell it to you and give you no return policy. We really should keep these "rants" between ourselves and the vendor. But that's besides the point.
Anyway pal, I don't know if you found these two threads yet but if you haven't, hopefully it helps you out:

It's a good reference from our peers that have already done the "research" on color matching LED's. I'm not sure if any these might help you but hopefully it does one way or another!
