Talking Floor Mats Question

Hey CL users, I'm still new to club lexus forums and a currently happy owner of my '11 F-Sport 250..

I wanted to ask if you guys use All-weather floor mats? If so where'd you guys pick them up and how much?
Thanks

The "whole recall" thing amounted to:

If you are too stupid to properly install the correct floormat for your vehicle, you might have problems. So come down to the dealer and we'll put on a short-bus pedal just for you!

As long as that doesn't describe you, you'll be fine.

Exactly 0 people, ever, have had a problem using the correct mat, correctly.

I'm guessing no one has their stock floor mat under their all-weathers? Is it unsafe to double up?

you shouldn't but doubt you will have any problems if you do...

I doubled up all of them except the driver side, which I put in the trunk for winter...

I went with the ones from sewell and put them on top of the carpet ones for added protection, no issues at all.

There should be no issues with the Lexus all weather mats since they all have been redesigned per recall. They are thinner now and should not get caught by the gas pedal.

Also, there is a hole on the floormats which you need to hook the retainers in. Use those, and you will be fine.

I don't recommend doubling the mats since it may slide around. Also, I'm not sure if the floormat retainer hooks can safely hold 2 floormats.

Weathertech is nice and durable compared to the Lexus redesigned weathermats. Plus they also use the retainer hooks.

Couldn't agree more. I have them in my IS-C and my wife has a set in her RX.

weathertech if you want the performance, and dont mind the high rubber look, but it should blend it seamlessly if you get the right color.

What advantage does "doubling up" give you? Sounds like the cons would greatly outweight the pros if any pros at all

Lexus has nothing to offer at this time.
Try www.weathertech.com or www.huskyliners.com.
Both companys have good protucts.
