I don't hate them and I think they look OK on the headlamps, but it's too much for them to be in the fogs as well. The possibility of improper sealing after pulling the headlamps apart is the most difficult part to stomach!

I personally will not take apart the housing to install a halo or paint 'em black. Because the end result is a hit or miss for a beginner.
If you can find a professional to do the job (someone who has done it several times with 100% success), go for it. I think it looks cool.
Don't worry about the haters from BMW owners. They are just pissed they are not special anymore.
EDIT: IMO - for the IS, only 2 halos looks the best. I wouldn't put halos around the DRL and fogs.

Yeah opening the headlight cover worries me a bit... like i said though... hoping maybe the dealer will do it for me... I know the condensation thing happens and JM will stand behind it if they dont reseal it properly.
