I've been toying with idea going from my IS 350 to a used IS F.
Any recommended ways of going about doing this? Is it easier to sell then buy, trade in(seems like a rip off?)
Or if there's a swapable lease around, do they allow you to trade towards that or anything?
Thanks!

Alright, that makes sense. What site is most accurate for private sale estimates in case I decide to go that route?
It's 2007 SFP IS 350, the chrome version of the rims, good condition, non smoking, interils like new still(everyone always says that when they ride in it). Navigation, heated/vented seats, tan/black interior.48k miles. Not sure if it makes a diff if I sell it but it has CPO Lexus 0 deductible 5 year/100k mile warranty on it?(Another good question I guess, would that transfer?)
I guess the worst thing is I cannot for the life of me find a SFP IS F used around here.
I'd say the blue is next then black.
Thanks again for you guys' help!

I would check your paperwork but yes, I believe the CPO warranty transfers, and that's a HUGE selling point on your car. You'll get thousands more by selling it privately than trading it in, because the warranty will transfer in a private party sale but not if you trade it in to a dealer or other shop.
I just bought my own 2007 IS350 and it was CPO, and I was told it would transfer, which was great because then if I decide to sell it, it'll be more attractive to other buyers than non-CPO IS350s.
One thing to keep in mind: I know that this is the case for VSA (Vehicle Service Agreements - extended warranties past CPO) but I think it still applies to the CPO one as well. But I believe they're refundable, so if you sell or trade your car in, you can get a refund for the unused portion of the warranty (so if it's a 3 year warranty and you trade it in after 1.5 years, you'll get half the cost of the warranty back. I'd check on that too though.
Another thing to keep in mind is your state's taxes on car sales. In MD, if you trade a car in when you purchase a new one, you only pay sales tax on the difference. So I traded my old car in for about 20k and bought my 350 for 24k, so I only paid the 5-6% tax on 4k. If I'd sold it privately then bought my car from the dealer, I'd have paid tax on the full 24k. This can be a several thousand dollar difference, so check your state's tax laws. You may have to weigh the extra money you'd get selling it privately against the potentially higher tax costs.
Just some thoughts. My advice would be throw an ad up on every free website you can (eBay classifieds, craigslist, this forum, Vehix, etc) as soon as possible. Then while those are running do your shopping at dealers. If you end up trading it in, you can use the private offers you get as negotiating points/leverage. And I wouldn't shell out for a cars.com or autotrader ad until a few weeks in. I got far more hits off my forum and other free posts than I ever did off my $50 cars.com ad.

But even if it's not transferrable, 1) you'll get more private party no matter what, and 2) the fact that it was CPO when you bought it will still be a selling point, even if you can't transfer the warranty, because potential buyers will have more confidence in a car Lexus was confident enough to CPO.
