AFAIK USB wasn't added until 2010 models.

Only change for 2009 was the AUX jack/power plug were moved so that you don't need a cord with a weird angle to close the console lid when using them.

With the Kensington A/C adapter and USB cable plugged into power next to the AUX port, can you still close the top cover of the compartment?
The charger you're looking at is ridiculous. 1) It doesn't come with an aux cord, 2) the AC adapter is far too long and will stick out of the socket too far, 3) it's $55, 4) it's called a "pimp".

Yes, for the Kensington, with both the USB plugged into the AC adapter and the aux cord plugged into the aux port, the center console cover will close.

(And in the future, don't post a question on a thread then also PM the OP to respond. It's redundant.)

Thanks for letting us know!! I didn't know that! I'm gonna order one! Does anyone know who much it would cost to have that problem fixed if my car isn't CPO? I bought it a few months ago just out of warranty.. I did buy a third party warranty from the dealer I bought it from (not a lexus dealer).. I wonder if this would fit under electronics that are covered under this warranty?

09 was a cosmetic facelift (which I was not a fan of)

10 was an electronic facelift (which brought the nav on par with at least a 2006-era garmin so that was a definite plus)

11 was another cosmetic facelift (which I'm also not a fan of)

What generic are you referring to? I looked through every line-out cord offered through Amazon, 95% were crap from knockoff sellers, this was the only one that seemed to fit the bill and it had very positive reviews. Now that I have it, I know why. The cable quality is very good, it's black so it doesn't stick out in the car, and it comes with the AC adapter, which is small enough that it's flush with the top of the socket and you can have both the USB/AC adapter and aux plugged in and still close the center compartment.

such weak sauce facelifts
should've done it all in 1 facelift ...

the packages for canadians are ridiculous too
the price we pay here for a is250 xpackage = the is350 with package

Huh?

HIDs and headlight washers were available on every single year of the 2IS

(and I'm neither a fan of AWD in a car with that little hp nor of the LED DRLs)

Back to the original point of the thread...

I have a 2007 IS350, no USB.

And yes, the Kensington's worth it. I've tried cheapo, unbranded $1-$5 products from eBay and Amazon sellers and more often than not, they fail or don't work as advertised. It also looks like crap: do you really want that disgusting gray plastic cord sticking out of the center console in your car?

The Kensington's black with a nice, threaded cable and is very high quality. My personal opinion, after using it? Yes, it's worth it. Don't skimp on sound.
