Hey guys, I am having 1 JL 10" Sub installed with amp and am wondering if i should have them unhook and/or take out the factory sub. I have read that some people do and some dont. Any suggestions??? Thanks

I left the factory sub in place, just spliced into the outputs after the factory amp, added an Audiocontrol LC2 w/ remote --> Alpine MRP-M500 --> 12 Type R. IMO the remote is a must. Very useful to help blend the new sub with the source material.

If you plan on doing a ported box, then you can remove the stock sub and use that as the avenue so the bass will go into the cabin.

depending on the amount of power your amp puts out, you'll be leaving the pass thru open cuz its gonna RATTLE~!!!
