I tried searching for the thread but couldn't find it, can someone tell me which is a good car charger for the iphone 4 and is small enough to allow the compartment to close? thanks

hey thanks for your response, i was wondering I have the 06 IS w/o nav so theres no usb in the center console. So will the car charger reach? Also how is the quality when you charge AND play music at the same time cause with my old car charger theres an annoying buzzing noise when both are going on at the same time o.o

That's alternator noise. You'll hear it anytime both are plugged in. I believe there's a TSB by Lexus that fixes it though. I'm gonna inquire about it next time i go in for service. Anyways, i use one of these: small enough to fit in the compartment and still close as well even with the cable connected.

if you could post a picture of your setup that would be really great! but I was wondering if anyone has a car charger that doubles as an audio out and can report better sound quality compared to just the 3.5mm headphone jack

I have the Kuda mount and Dice Electronics charger. It slides in on the passenger side and uses one set screw in the carpet. It charges and NO noise. Out of the way and stationary. Still comfortable enough to scroll through songs.
