So lately my key fob has been acting weird, last Sunday when I went to my sisters house, pull in the drive way and got out of my car. Click the lock button and nothing happened. I thought it was the big van that's blocking my car cost it, so I went around it and click lock and it worked. For the past couple days when I get out of the car and lock it, it won't respond for at least 5 second and then all the sudden it works. Is this normal or should I take it to the dealers?

replace your keyfobs battery? if still persist take it to dealer

i just got this car on 2/14, I tired both of my keys, I'll replace it tomorrow and see if it will work.

Cool! Will try tomorrow after I replace my battery, if not I have this 5 year warranty I got that will give me as many key as I want from them. (I can tell them I lost it and they will hand one to me)

i got some new battery and replaced the battery in the key fob, still has a 3-5 sec delay after i get out of the car and close the door before the car would respond to the key fob.

My car does not lock as soon as I get out either. I press the button walk to the door then it locks.

I've noticed on my 2010 that there is a delay after pressing the button on the outside door handle if my cell phone is close to my key. If I happen to have my key in my hand and my cell phone in the same hand it usually doesn't respond at all.

This has been happening on my car as well. I noticed that it got worse after i installed my Vled's. I know its not my battery because i just changed it 12/2010. What i do know is just press the lock button on the key fob twice and then it locks on demand. If i press the lock button once sometimes it doesn't lock, but pressing it twice locks it for sure. Anyone else know the answer to getting the door handle lock button to work again? It used to be able to lock instantly after i got out the car regardless of where my phone was.

I got some led from vled too, but I don't know how that would effect key fob, unless someone can test it. I haven't been able to fix it yet, sometime it works and sometime it doesnt when I get out of the car. I might bring the car to the dealers if It gets worse, but it may also be the cell phone cause I keep them in my pockets all the time.
