Hey guys, James the tech from V-LEDS here.

Brociouz let me know that there were some issues with the smart keys not working after installing our LEDs in the dome lights. I also received an email from another IS owner reporting this issue.

I am currently looking into what the cause is. From what I have read here so far, the problem occurs when our LEDs are installed into the rear dome lights. What part# LEDs are you guys using? Is it the 4 HP version? Is it the 5K or 6K color or both?

Does anyone have the front 3 map/dome lights changed out too? Are these affecting the smart keys?

I will be testing some different LEDs in our IS350 tomorrow and see if I can replicate the problem too. I will let everyone know what I come up with and report back.

If anyone can email me with your order# so I can see what LEDs you have that would help too. My direct email is tech@v-leds.com.

Thanks, James

V-LEDS Part ID: 194_4_RB_W_5K front dome,
V-LEDS Part ID: 194_4_HPF_W_5K sun visor, door and puddle.
V-LEDS Part ID: DIY_6_HP_W_5K with festoon 31mm adapter for the rear dome, I took one of them off on the rear dome and the car is responding to the key fob as it should be.

Having the same issue on my 2011 250. Bulbs used in the rear are V-LEDS 6K WHITE 2W 4 LED HIGH POWER DOME LIGHT BULB 3022 3021 DE3175. Only affecting the locking function from door handle. Unlock and key recognition seem fine... so far. Will try removing one rear bulb tonight and see it it continues. PM'd VLED with my order number.

This is definitely intermittent for me. Had the trouble for two days after install, however for the last two days everything has been working fine. I have not removed the rear dome LED yet. Lock button is working while interior LEDs are lit up, too. Weird...

I noticed that this is happening to me also in my 09. I have also noticed that the center bulb in the front dome stays lit after the others fade out until I either lock the car or start the car.

Pretty sure the middle one is supposed to stay lit (like 30 seconds or so).

If you walk up to your car (with the keyfob after it's been locked), the puddle lights and the middle front dome + back courtesy lights illuminate. The outer bulbs in the front dome illuminate when you open the door, and then de-illuminate when you close the door(s).

I'm pretty sure it's the rear dome that's the issue, but let us know how it goes for you...

I only have 1 light in the dome right now, I got the led board with a fotson, I still can't lock my car at times. This is getting annoying, I am about to change everything back to stock.
