IS250C Lease Payments
Anyone out there currently leasing an IS250C? Not trying to get personal, but what are you payments and how much did you put down?
My girl and I are looking into leasing her one and the one dealership we went to just to see what they would offer said $700/month for 3 years at 12,000 miles/year and like $3000 down (their calculations). We laughed at him and walked out.
Please tell me no one out is there is making a house payment on these cars..?

That just seems outrageous to me.. I'm a newb when it comes to leasing, but aren't you basically just financing the difference between current price and value of the car when you return the car to them, and basically paying that payment? I was always under the impression that leasing was cheaper than buying..

from my experience leasing is about 150 to 200 cheaper than purchasing. there are a couple things involved in leasing: price of the car, money factor, residual, annual miles, down payment of course, and the monthly term. might be more but thats all i can think of now. im no expert but if any of those changes so will the monthly payment. jus keep saying no, no , and no again they will lower the price for sure 700 is a bit much for a 250c. unless they were giving that 350 away to me at cost i think you can do better. e-mail other dealers and get prices

I beleave we all are making house payment on our Lex. hahaha. Check the lexus website and go to the "which lexus fit my budget". Type in the amount for down and what your looking to pay monthly. Then it show what car and price you can get for the lease.

i think 700 is a bit much too, but as mentioned, it's not gonna be lowered to anywhere near 500 given the price of the car with options even after negotiation.
Edit: just want to clarify after reading pjjames1's post. what i said was assuming little to no down payment.

The payment will be determined by how much you "buy" or bargain the sale price of the car. As with any vehicle, you should bargain up or down from the invoice, not from the sticker. This is true whether you buy or lease. Go to Edmunds.com's Town Square and see what others in your area are paying. Or create your own post and someone may chime in. Once you get a good idea of price, email all your local dealers. Tell them what you want to pay, which model and color you want, and see who will go the lowest. This is how the price drops fast. But you have to be serious and ready to make a deal.

I leased my Fiancee an IS250C last year for $514.00 a month. We put a lot down to get her payment there...around $4500. I would normally NEVER ever put that much down on a rented car but this is what she could afford and it was the car she wanted. On my car, IS350, I put down around $350...after getting my last payment returned...and pay $653.00. This is great for me because yeah the payment is high but in the end, I didn't put anything down. My money factor was super low and I got them really low on the price. You can negotiate...but in my world...I'd rather have a higher monthly and put less down just in case I don't buy the car out in the end. I don't want anymore equity in the car then I need to have. If I was planning to own it I would have paid cash and if you put a lot down in my eyes you have to plan to buy it out - therefore - get a GREAT deal on the purchase price so your buyout is cheap. They originally quoted me $700 too, but you can squeeze it out of them!

Got a well optioned 350AWD - 3 yrs, 15000 miles, for low $600s with tax looped into the payments and a 2k payoff on our IS250AWD early lease return. Only thing paid up front were delivery and documents.
Incentive time + loyalty bonus + having picked up 5 cars through the same salesperson at the same dealer makes the "we need a new car" issue not much of an issue at all.

Interesting....I put 3k down total out of pocket..my payment is 575 Tax included for a fully loaded navi is250c with the upgraded wheel package. I could have had the same car for 2k total out of pocket but that dealer didn't have the ultrasonic blue color. Oh and thats for 36months/15k miles...If I was doing 36m/10k miles I could have had the car for 530 tax in. I got the car at Lexus Dealer in South Florida.

Granted I got my car in Dec of '08.. but I got a brand new, loaded (everything but ML) IS350 for $439/month, 36 month lease, 10k miles a year... $1,000 down plus tax and tags.
Am I really that far ahead?

I am paying 45-50% of that for a 250 sedan!
($360/mo 36/10k with the down payment rolled in. so figure about 330/mo.) but it was also a left over 2010 RWD that no one wanted, that i picked up the last week of decemeber when all of the 2011s were rolling out. now i spend my savings on modding a lease. doh.
