Default Double Din in Non-GPS cars

before you all start talking about using the search button, i did but no response came up to my question.

I found the thread talking about installing the gps in a non gps car. but i was wondering if you buy the center console faceplate where the gps screen would go, can you just install a double din there instead? I live in hawaii so gps is not really necessary. I also found thread talking about gs's and they were saying its possible to install a DD into a gps car is you just buy the non-gps harness for the HVAC. Wondering if the 2IS can do that as well. My question is: since i already have the non-GPS HVAC harness can i just buy the GPS center console and plug in a double din?

What's the single din like? I'm also curious to hear the answer about the double din!

well that makes it even more likely that a double will work if the single will work too. Do they replace the stereo section?

din is your standard radio size. Double din is your navi size radio opening.
