Someone recently did this mod on a 2006 is250 w/o afs. It came out pretty nice. He bought the headlights on ebay and did the wiring himself.

Another member recently bought the headlights off of ebay for only $830 shipped, which is an awesome price. I bought mine $1000 shipped.

Sorry I should have said isn't there a forum member that cracks open headlights, paints them, & will install retro fitted projectors & LEDs for a nominal price?

There's probably a few people that have done it, but it honestly won't look like the 2011 headlights.

I was thinking about going that route as well at first because honestly, the factory headlight beam pattern leaves a lot to be desired. But in the end I decided I liked the look of the 2011 headlight w/ LED strip more. Not sure if there's a forum member who does retrofitting per se, but there are shops that you can get it done at that forum members have used. Not sure where though in the FL area.

Kurtz, did you put the 2011 headlamps from Sewell on your car? I bought the Sewell kit and plan on having a body shop I know do the installation on my IS350. I thought for some reason you might have them and wanted to know if I should be on the lookout for any pitfalls.

I have done the retrofitting by replacing the projectors and lenses. ELL Y and tchan1 (I think I spelled it correctly) have retro'd projectors too. But as far as anyone willing to retro the projectors here on the forums, I don't know. I'm sure some one here would do it at the right price. The 2IS headlight is a hard one to retro due to the limited space in the headlight. There is a website that does the 2IS retros though. I forgot what the name is.
