Default installing an '06-08' gfx rear on an '09... modification?

went to the dealer today to get some miscellaneous items and asked them if they happened to get a new shipment on the gfx rears in black.. they asked me what year i had and had informed me that the gfx rear for the 09 is different. from what i've read, the 06-08 should fit on the 09 right? anyway, the dealer told me if you wanted to put an 06-08 on an 09.. you'd have to do some type of modding. can someone clarify what needs to be done? i've tried searching but all i could find was a DIY on the cutting method and the 3m method

The only modding they were referring to was cutting around the exhaust outlets so the GFX will fit. Other than that everything should fit for you

About the dealership. They just want your money because they think you are dumb. Thankfully, we have CL.

i had to cut my bumper (07) for the GFX anyhow...im sure some people are doing it without cutting and without drilling but the instructions called for it and i figured its never coming off so there we go.
