Exhaust and intake off the top of my head. You can add headers in the mix there too.

ECU is pretty much untouchable right now tho

lol, u pick a wrong car to mod. There isn't much you can do, engine wise, except the typical intake, header, exhaust.

Check out the Vendors section for that kinda stuff:
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/clu...rketplace-118/

Intake i think most people get the F-Sport or the Joe-Z.

Exhaust really depends on a lot of factors and mainly on how loud you want it to be. Popular ones are Tanabe, F-Sport & HKS.

Congrads on the pick as far as exhaust and intake goes. It depends if you want something quiet or loud.

Most members buy their stuff from Sewell.

http://is.sewellparts.com/

Register your account and include Club Lexus Forum in the affiliation for some discount.

Or you can check the Classified Section for used parts...

Don't forget to do a search next time... This topic has been covered.

Depends on you.

Intake=F-Sport or Joe Z.

Exhaust=there is no best. It's all depends on what kind of sound you want. Loud go for HKS or F-Sport, Medium go for Greddy, Quiet go for Tanabe. You are modding this basically for sound since it generates a measley 1 - 2 HP. You're lucky if you get 5.

You can opt for a mid-pipe, which will bump total exhaust HP to about 10 HP.

What do you mean by "restrictions"? The F-Sport exhausts is an axle-back like others (ex Tanabe...). Theorically, they should all have similar HP. They sound different because they use different packing material and method.

If I remember correctly Greddy uses Fiberglass Cube, Tanabe uses fiberglass pre-packed, etc... to create the different sound.

If you want to mod for hp you bought the wrong car. Really.

Intake= +5 hp tops. Joe Z is the cheapest and adds the same 5 hp. The short rams are louder, more expensive, and probably add less.

Exhaust= about 7 hp for any of the axle-backs, which are legal. Or about 10 hp for the full exhausts that aren't legal.

Headers= 12-18 hp... PPE is the only ones making headers presently that I know of. They're not legal either, but the most +hp gain of any bolt on.

And that's pretty much it for bolt ons.

You'll drop anywhere from $1500-2500 on the above and pick up 20-30 hp.

For a similar price you could come up with a pretty idiot-proof nitrous setup something in the 60-75 shot range... but that's not on all the time of course, and do it cheap/wrong and you're walking.

For $6000-8000 you can cobble together one of the sparse supercharger options and maybe get in the 40-60 hp range... but you might as well have bought an IS-F at that point.
