If the car is under warranty (3 years old?) then they should have replaced it with the same one and program it. Unless you just wanted a non navi one?

There are more important differences between cars with and without navigation that just programming changes (wiring, etc). The non-Nav unit will not just plug in and work, nor will it be made to work with just some programming.

I think you're going to need to get a nav replacement, sorry.

I believe the navi unit costs about 3K to replace.

Well, if he's out of warranty he can consider a used one, or a repaired unit. I'm pretty sure Lexus' suppliers run an audio/navigation exchange program to replace a damaged navigation/radio unit. (Toyota does).

I"m pretty sure it uses a completely different wiring harness.

Yes, if you had navigation before you would have to buy the non-navigation harness and replace it before you can actually make your climate control work. To replace the harness is a pain in the ***. Good luck!

Not sure if the one in Sewell's closeout page is the one you need, but they have a harness for sale

http://lexus.sewellparts.com/closeout.html

If not contact Bottledfed I've gotten a few parts from him great guy to work with! He should be able to source whatever parts you need to go non navi...

ditto on the fuses. I replaced the fuses under the glove box: fuses radio3 and AC did the trick.
