I am afraid to order it due to the issues with Star Fire Pearl. What do you guys think? Just have it painted? What if i ordered it and it did not match could I just take it to a shop to paint over it?

Would black look good? Never seen a white IS with black roof spoiler. What do you mean overlay? Thought it goes flush against the window? Sorry im a noob

Not a problem. An overlay is a piece of vinyl that will cover your entire white roof. By getting a gloss black overlay and black spoiler you won't have to worry about matching the white. I think it's a great option and looks sexy on white cars. Just my thoughts because it was my plan if I had gone with the white F-Sport.

I've seen a black vinyl overlay on the roof with a painted black spoiler. Doesn't look too good. If your gonna go that route, just have the actual roof painted and the roof spoiler painted at the same time too. It will look way cleaner, vinyl black is gonna be noticeably off from painted black, trust me

I have the roof spoiler on my SFP, the match is off on my 07, but when i got a 2010 IS rental, the difference was barely noticeable (posted a pic on this thread earlier). I would just order one painted and see how it looks, if it really bugs you, get it repainted (shop will sand down old paint and repaint - shouldn't be too much $$$ for such a small piece)

SFP will be a ***** to match very closely no matter where you get your car painted though. lol

I know that white is one of the more difficult colors to match, but for 95 dollars you really can't go wrong. If the color isn't to your liking check out a local shop and see what they can do for you.

Mine took him a few days to have it painted....They don't list USB on their auction though. Once shipped it looks like it will take 3-4 days.

Just got mine in, SFP color and unfortunately it is a bit off in term of color match but not dramatic however, it is perfect fit. For 80 bucks, you can't go wrong with it. Just make sure to install more 3M tape so it doesn't fly off on the highway

I just went with the supplied tape...let it sit over night...and drove 475 miles yesterday and it was perfectly fine. Weather conditions were terrible too and I still could drive 70 miles an hour with no problems. When it wasn't raining got it up in the 90s and the spoiler is still fine. So if you are worried at all there is no need, but you could put on more tape for the piece of mind. I was just too excited to put it on and couldn't wait any more.
