???Roof Spoilers???
#33
Okay, so I had a beer with dinner and decided to just do the install. Thanks for the motivation. Turned out awesome, love it!
Install took 5 mins.
1) Clean window extra good, scrub good with simplegreen, then windex(I was paranoid).
2) Taped two pieces of painters tape on either end of the spoiler to the roof of the car so I could position it precisely into place.
3) Flipped the spoiler up, using the tape as a hinge, and peeled the tape and dropped into place.
4) I just added the extra tape(as seen in the pic) for safe measure overnight. That thing did not budge a millimeter once set into place! So be careful to set into the exact position the first time!
Purchased at OEM.Thing on Ebay $80 shipped, pre-painted in TP. Color and fit were perfect. Came with the tape in place and a little primer kit.

Paid $84. Pre-painted in Starfire Pearl from OEM.Thing. Paint quality is good, but definitely not a match....avoid eBay pre-painted if your car is pearl or another hard to match color...
Note its just laying on there in this, its not actually fitted...the fitment is actually quite good.
I think i'm just gonna wrap it when i do the roof wrap. Unless the color difference isn't noticeable anymore afterwards.

^ I wondered that too but after really examining it, even if the clearcoat is just not as white on my car because of its age, there is way too much pearl in the roof spoiler from OEM.Thing. If its in direct light its REALLY noticeable to the point where i wouldn't put it on my car anymore like that.
