Found an interesting roof spoiler that's different from all the other ones. Not too sure how i feel about it but at least it's different

So when you put in a roof wing , does it go at the end of your roof, or does it go on the window?

Is this real carbon fiber?
3M vinyl?
Is it carbon fiber skinned over another plastic piece??

I got it installed at a professional body shop, and they thought it was real CF as well. I didn't notice any plasticy feel about it. The thing is as rigid as CF.

For the price I would assume it is plastic wrapped in carbon fiber....still looks good tho. My friend has one on his Nebula Grey 2012 and it looks hawt!

Not sure what type of 3m tape this is. But I used 3m tape that has the red backing that you peel and holds up to 5lbs. It works wonders.

It's too keep the water from pooling where the end of the roof meets the roof spoiler.
You can only see the gap at a certain angle from either side, you can't really see it from the rear. If you mount it without a gap (like i did) you'll get water building up and drying up making it look super dirty right there.

i saw a GS with a long red LED strip under the roof spoiler that was wired with the brake light. so it went brighter when the brakes were applied.

anyone seen this? or have it? I'm thinking about doing it

Hmmm... wonder how one would go about wiring that up? I imagine holes would need to be drilled somewhere.

I think that would look weird with the 3rd brake light already in the rear window.
