is the IS250 engine being restricted?
on paper the 2.5L V6 is more powerful than an Acura TSX 2.4. but when i test drove the TSX that car although had a small motor but was eager to rev, the acceleration seemed more faster than the IS250. could this because the nature of the 2.4 DOHC vtec of Acura was design to be free revving and the IS250's V6 was design more toward the comfort and smooth side. just wondering. disclaimer: i'm not regretting getting the IS250 over TSX one bit.

201 hp/172 tq for the TSX... 204/185 for the IS250
however, the TSX makes it's 201 at 7000 rpms vs. 6400 for the IS... yet makes it's 172 tq at 4400 rpms vs. 4600 for the IS.
All that said, the TSX 4 cylinder road tested by Edmunds took 8.6 for 0-60 and ran the 1/4 in 16.3@86.
The IS250 does it in 7.5 per Edmunds and 15.8@89 in the 1/4.
So the 250 is faster. Significantly.
But the Acura, being a honda motor, certainly does rev higher. This might give the illusion of quickness, but it's just an illusion.

The 4 cylinder TSX is about the same weight as the V6 IS250 RWD... (the AWD is a couple hundred lbs heavier).
