There's a TSB on this. print it out and go back to your SA. Maybe you should request for a different SA... it's on their bulletin and he should've been able to find it.

I had mine fixed with an isolator at my dealership with no problems. If you're out of warranty, you can just go to Radio Shack/The Source and purchase yourself a ground loop isolator.

No go on oxidation, not bad but i dont like.
They said that the oxidation is an enviromental issue.

Ill find the bullitin on the isolator if he gives me any trouble but as for now he says he is still looking into it.

Thanks killa saved me some time.

Yeah i figured they would say no to the oxidation, its bound to happen on your headlights and depends alot on environmental factors too. There's a few methods to fix this though, i would first try with just using Meguairs PlastX and a buffer and see how that works. If not, might need to do something like wet sanding.

I asked my dealer to look into the group loop issue a few weeks ago when I was getting a new gauge cluster and some other issues looked at. They had to have an inspector come out and verify all my issues before they would repair any of them. In the end, they did everything I wanted except the ground loop isolator, saying they were not able to replicate it. Kind of a pain, since everything needed to replicate the issue was in the car at the time. I don't run into the issue all that often, but it's still kind of a pain.

nice.....The JL Audio stuff sounds nice. In 2 weeks I'll be getting JL Audio 12W6V2, JL Audio HD 750/1 and JL Audio 600/4. Hertz 3 way components (6 1/2", 3 1/2", 1"). Audio Control EQS, Stinger 10 Fared cap. and more!! The HD amps are all digital and small as well. No more Giant amps like the old days.

hey RangerJoe, to replicate this problem you'll need an audio device that's powered by your car's power source (cig lighter). What I have is an ipod fm transmitter that's powered by my cig lighter. The audio is connected by a regular 3.5mm audio cable to the aux jack.

Turn up the center console volume to around 25-30, play some music and rev your engine. You'll hear the "whining".
