^^ No. The images are just printed on the buttons, mine don't light up either.

07+ have single tab buttons for gas and trunk, unlike 06 half size button?

06 has smaller buttons (stacked) with no illumination.
07+ has larger buttons (side by side) with illumination.

Agree with everyone...

When I first got the car, I always fiddle around trying to open the trunk button in my garage... only to open the fuel tank cover

I thought that this should've been included in a luxury car. We have illuminated foot well but no light on the switches. lol

^^^^ I read a post here, and I have been using that trick to remember the switches: the trunk opened "up", so the upper button is for the trunk opener

i thought the line goes "trunk goes UP, gas goes DOWN." trunk pops up and gas goes down from driving

Honestly I almost never use the trunk button, I just press the release button on the trunk itself when I get there, lol.

The trunk button is good for when you're dropping off a passenger who needs to get something out the trunk after they exit.

If you want it badly enough, I suspect the lighted '07+ switch could be fairly easily retrofitted to an '06 car. But honestly, after you've owned the car for a while pressing the right button becomes second nature.

I really wish that was the case. After years of owning my car I still press the wrong button.
