Default Question for people lowered on 19's...

Ok, so I have some 19" Volk GT7's that I'm going to put on. I am also dropped on BC Racing Coils. I have the stock wheels on right now and there is a finger gap between the top of the tire to the bottom of the fender/quarter panel.

If you are running 19's right now on your car, what size is the tires you have.
ie, 30's or 35's?

I like the lower look and I just want to know if I put 35 series tires on, will it rub with my lowered suspension?

Thanks for the help!

Pic: my ride as of right now...

Depends on offset and rim width. I have 235/35/19 on 19x8's et 35. No rubbing

You will be fine with 235/35/19

You can also do 225/35/19 if you want stretch and more clearance

I'm also on BC coils btw.

Picture of 19's with 235/35's

If ur the guy with the ings kit ur pretty low from what I've seen so u might have to do some fender mods. also im running a 225 tire on a 9 inch wheel you can easily run even 215 on 8.5. either way u should go 35 series. try it out if it rubs just shave the fenders or raise the car a lil bit that's the beauty of coils.

stay with the 35-series tires to maintain as close to oem rolling diameter as possible.

those offsets (effective +37 all around?) should be conservative enough that you can run 225/35 up front and 255/35 in the rear.

I had 235/35/19 before I went to the 225/30/20.

Depending on how low your springs put you in the front..

I was running 235/35/19 in the fronts on a 8.5" wheel with a +28 offset. On the Eibach Pro Kit and I would rub anytime I went over a decent sized bump, dip or hill in the road. We tried rolling the fenders and heating up the inner wheel well lining to see if that would fix the problem, but it didn't.

Had to go back to stock springs up front until I can try 225s. My tires were just getting eaten up on the edges.

^----this is upsetting to me. I just ordered the Megan coilovers and my offsets are 25 in the front with the exact same setup as you!!

Damn....that means I wont be able to go lower than an inch without 225's up front? How disappointing.

Who wants to trade some 65% tread Fuzion 235's for some 225's?

AZ JB and 06isDriver you have to relocate the tab that holds the bumper to the fender im 99% sure thats what was chewing your tire. Just move the screw further in and bang that ***** up! And yes it has been done multiple times....its a must mod if you wanna go low

wheel offsets in the low 30's and high 20's will need fender rolling and narrower tires.

edit: ... and modifications to the fender tab.

the fender/bumper tabs in the front wheel wells are located right in front of the wheel well where the fender meets the bumper.

there's a bolt and a piece of plastic that holds the fender and bumper tabs together. take the bolt out, and the piece of plastic should come out as well.

the fender tab is metal, so bend that back towards the inside of the fender.

as far as the bumper tab is concerned, it's plastic, so you have two options:
- trim it down
- zip-tie it up against the fender tab.
