Question Requesting Pulley Diagram for IS250

Hey Cl,

Recently I started to hear a noise under my hood that sounded pretty familiar to a loose pulley, the sound is similar to the 'marbles rolling around' in our Manual transmission, except louder.

I decided to pop the hood today and noticed that the TOP pulley, CLOSEST (closest to the top of the engine itself) to me looked as if it was loose, which was making this sound i believe. I'm not certain what this pulley is so I'm asking CL if anybody has a clue or a diagram on the all the Pulleys in our engine bay.

I'll try and post a picture on my phone later if no diagram is immediately available. I tried to Google a Pulley diagram but come up empty handed

Here we go, I'm not sure what Pulley this is and what it controls... Also do our cars only use 1 serpentine belt? or multiple belts for the other pulleys?

Thanks, I'll try that...

Now that I know its the idler pulley, my Girl said the other day that it was idling abnormally high like almost 2k when she first started her up...

When I pop the hood and the car is Idling in Neutral, it looks as if this pulley is loose and jingles a bit. I'll check this out tonight thanks.

That pulley looks like it loss the bearing lubrication. The brown color is grease and metal shavings.
Need to replace or repack with grease.
It is just a recommendation not a fact....

*Update* So I was mistaken and it isn't the idler pulley, I made a video but its in quick time format, so anybody can hear what I'm hearing... It sounds like a pulley but im uncertain at this point... I may have to bite the bullet and take it to Toyota...

I think I may have the same issue. Did you get any resolution for your issue?
