Default a little problem after installing my garax 6000k's!

love the looks of the garax on the IS
just a little problem I noticed after they were on,
the cut off line looks wavy a bit close up.. not sure if its the lexus projector or what, and also the bulbs rod or some sort of stick on the right side of the light lol..
I took the bulb back out and put the OEM bulb in and its still there
the "rod" (if thats what its called ) is facing the direction of the rear of my car so im not sure whats causing it!

but other than that the bulbs look great! even tho it makes my LED strip look yellow close up, far away its sexy as hell

next step is figuring out a good set of bulbs/kit fogs thatll match these garax's!

I seen that that on my car too with the and my Garax 8000K and Philips Ultinon 6000K. It appears to be the way the housing is, which sort of makes the staircase like steppings.

The steps are made from the cutoff shield inside the projectors, it is suppose to be like that.

I think the projectors are designed that way. The bulb has nothing to do with the cut off lines. The "step" looking cutoff line could be because of the AFS feature.

The step thing is more noticable when turning because when the car is moving, the AFS moves too and you see the cut off line moving around if one is paying attention of the cut of line reflecting off the ground a distance ahead, or seeing the cut off line being reflected from the car in front you.

I don't think he has afs. It's a 2011 with updated headlights

Oh yeah that is rite. It would still have auto-leveling so one would still notice the lights moving up or down besides of the sideways part (AFS) if I am correct?

langjaykev,

Yes that is fine. I would also consider putting a red circle on the left there too since the pattern looks like ___---___ from what I see on the image and also how it would look from viewing a wall from my car.

from the look of your pics cut off line in the red circle, that look like they installed the mess up shield in the projector, and you said that happen even with the OEM bulbs too? if the stock and garax they both show that, so that would be your shield, I don't know is it the way they build for 2011 model or not? but my is 07 and have the garax 6000k the cut off is not like that, so the good way to find out is asking someone that they have the 2011 IS to compare, but to me from the look of your pic cut off in the red circle is not right? have you tried to adjust the bulb a little to see what happen?
