just got a used 2006 is250
Hey guys,
so i recently purchased a used 2006 is250 drives great love the car.
i got it from a used car dealership and not lexus dealership.
just reading up on all these recall issues and TSIB #'s.
what do i need to do to get letters from lexus so i can get my car fixed from a lexus dealership if there are recalls and issues?

Congrats on your purchase!
I would personally call service department at your local Lexus Dealer and ask them. You could probably also register on the lexus driver site with your vin number to check up on stuff like that.(Not sure if they mail notifications though).

Register???? Sheet i just took my 06 IS350 in for an oil change at the dealer & they did everything had all the recalls done. I never filled anything out. Now my IS350 has had everything done & is up to date.
Dude just take it to a local dealer the car will come up via vin# & they will handle it. After you take it in the first time you will get all updates via mail. I get crap all the time, Come today get a 2010 now 2011 get great deals, blah blah blah also any time we have a recall i get mail for that.

I actually just went through the same thing. Purchased a used is250 from a non-lexus dealership. I took it to my local lexus dealership, blatantly told them I didnt purchase it from them, and they took care of me like the first born child. They looked on national lexus registry and service history database and saw that my car never got any of the recalls taken care of so they fixed all of them for me for free, and gave me a service loaner. All free.
