Well, I foolishly didn't heed the warning that the rear badges might have posts in them. Does anyone have a specific suggestion on what I should get to put the "IS" back on my car? I know that it is just a double-sided tape, but I want to make sure the peices that I have to put back on will match the ones that are still there (height-wise).

If u still have emblems on the car use a straight edge. Line it up and stick em and hope it looks good lol.

remove the old double sided tape with a razor and clean it up good. Purchase some 3M double sided tape and trim it to fit the IS. Then apply evenly. Done.

I used 3M emblem glue, no cutting tape, just apply a few dabs to the back. Held up for 18 months no problems

well what you should have done before you took off the emblems is tape against the edge of the emblems so that way you have an outline of where to put the emblems back. heres a depiction cause im too lazy to find a picture.

The dashed lines are the tape. Idk if that helps or not..but just a future suggestion if you ever decide to take off the emblems again.

I used 3M double sided tape to reattach my emblems. Its a roll of black tape with red backing. Its been over a year now and its still holding up.
