This thread has inspired me to take the plunge and install the add ons. I should be receiving the pieces before the weekend, however, I have yet to take the front bumper off an IS. Your cars look absolutely stunning and I can't wait to join the club.

Can you fellas with a 2011 chime in and give a brief and hopefully easy explanation on the steps in removing the front bumper? Thanks in advance guys.

there is also 1 bolt at the where the bumper meets the fender, in the corner on each side.

Jeffrey - Any chance we could get some more pics.

Perhaps from the side and head on with a little more light?

TIA.

i have a 11 350...
So I bought a fiberglass vertex rep rear lip and the fitment is terrible. there is gaps around the sides as well as gaps around the rear corner...

I am considering the real vertex lip or the GFX lip,
is all that cutting really necessary for the GFX rear lip installation?? I really don't want to cut out of my bumper that much. does anyone know if the vertex rear lip requires any cutting? the fiberglass rep i had just slipped right on.
thanks!!

Here's a DIY on how to install the F-Sport Lip for those who were asking.

For the GFX rear lip, some people just do 3M double-sided tape and no cutting. For my GFX rear lip, I had it put on with 3M tape and some screws. I might have it re-done with cutting though since my 3M tape is starting to come off. That's just me though.... others here have used 3M tape only with no problems at all.

The prices are all over the place on this stuff so I thought i'd ask here.

The GFX rear bumper is $160 and painted at Sewell, but I can't find the front lip there.

On L-Tuned parts, we're looking at $575 for the rear bumper and $575 for the front lip, but neither look like they are painted.

*edit* I just called L-Tuned and the parts guy there says that the front and rear bumpers are shipped as the whole assmbly, and not just a lip that you bolt on to the existing bumper. He also said that they *do not come painted.

What gives?

TIA.

No new body modifications for 2012. Parts that fit the 2011 fit the 2012 from what I can see. Sewell is even grouping the 2011-2012 into the same class when it comes to parts. For instance, the updated specs for the F-Sport Grill & GFX Kit now includes 2012. I.E they will fit on your car. See below.

http://is.sewellparts.com/accessorie...2011/1778.html

You may come across parts that will be 2012 specific in the future, but for now, rest assured that no major aspects have been changed. Order away!

Maybe this for rear bumper. For 2011+ cars with F-Sport package.
