6000k or 5000k foglight hids to match 6000k low beams?
Getting new HID fogs after my old ones blew out, I use to have 6000k fogs and low beams. One thing i notice back then was that since the fogs were not projectors they were more blue than the low beams and he bulb color was the same and i want them both to match, so my question for CL members is...
would 5000k foglights match better with 6000k low beams or would 6000k/6000k match up better?
I know 5000k is pure white and 6000k has a hint of blew. I can barely see the blue in my low beams now from a distance and only notice the hint of blue when i get close up and really look at it.
Any advice is appreciated.

Okay bro, let me see if I can help you.
First things first, all things being equal if you put the same bulbs in your projectors as your fogs... the lows should actually have more color than your fogs... I know in your case the opposite was happening.
This is likely because the same color temperature looks different from different manufacturers. I have been researching this on and off for a few months now... and the best way to make sure they match is to find some other CL members with the same lows and ask them which fogs they used to match. The following 3 sets of fogs are very good matches with Garax 6000K bulbs:
Xenon depot 6000k volt kit as seen on Phillip's car in the first pic below
Xenon depot 6500K extreme kit seen on Funnie's car in the 2nd pic
DDM tuning kit seen on brociouz's car in the 3rd pic. It is worth noting though that he has projectors on his fogs so I don't know if they will match without them.
I guess the question I have for you is... what brand are your low bulbs??? If they are Garax, then you have your answer.

I have an extra 9006 6000k HID kit (fogs) i could sell you if your interested. Dont mind posting it in the classifieds. Wish you were local though because its a big box and might be a lil on the expensive side to ship. Matches my Garax 6000k D4S almost perfectly though.
Brand is OPTIMAL (from j.p.) its not a cheap kit from overseas thats gonna burn out.

Here's my review of the XenonDepot Xtreme 5000K HID low beam bulbs for the 2IS. I'm really happy with them and highly recommend them. They're also deeply discounted right now due to a Club Lexus-only discount code:

the 6000k from xenon depot volt kit, is pretty nice. matches my garax 6000ks pretty nicely. far away tho.
close up not so much because i suppose the projector focuses the lights on the ground while the fogs spreads everywhere. but the color output to me is exactly the same!
only picture i have =\ been a bit lazy haha
