This question has been answered more times than dead horses have been beaten. Do a search on the forum for "250 vs 350". Or just answer these 2 questions:
1) Do I want 300 hp or do I want 200 hp?
2) If your answer is 300 hp, then is that extra 100 hp worth a few thousand dollars more?
If your answer is "yes" to question 2) (which mine was), then buy a 350. If your answer to 1) is "200 hp" or your answer to 2) is "no", then buy a 250.
Honestly I don't see the huge dilemma here. Go drive both, then make your choice depending on your preferences.
As far as Subaru vs Lexus, the official reliability ratings speak for themselves but asking people on a Lexus forum which is better/more reliable is a tad futile. Both are very reliable. I personally find Lexus reliability and service to be better than Subaru, but your experience may vary.
Also search the forum for TSIBs for the ISX50. A start would be the dash rattle. Make sure this has been addressed on your car. Don't worry about the recalls, since they'll be covered free of charge anyway.

I have both and I can say both are equally reliable. I have had my wrx for 8 years and there hasn't been any major reliability issues, just wear and tear. Just dont be stupid with it and do 4k launches. It more comes down to what kind of car do you want. Personally I feel more connected to the road when I drive the wrx, you can "feel" your driving more. While in the lexus, its more like a lexus.
As for MPG, is250 probably will be better than the other two cars. A more equal comparison is between the is350 and the STI. I roughly get about 20-21 MPG in both the IS and the wrx in the city. It all depends on your driving habits.

For reference I just bought:
2006 IS250 AWD - 60k miles
100% fully loaded besides ML
18" rims
Spoiler
Tint
PERFECT SHAPE in and out --- for 16.5k
.... obviously 250 does not = 350 but get an idea of pricings
