i'm interested in subscribing for xm/sirrius satellite radio. i have a 06 is350. ive noticed alot of IS's with the sharkfin antenna. my car doesnt have it, but on the satellite radio website it says the 06 IS's come factory installed with it. do i have purchase a sharkfin or does the 06 IS have an antenna mounted somewhere else in the car? thanx in advance

XM Radio was a dealer option for 06 ISs, not factory installed. You'd need to get the unit to install in the trunk and a "puck" antenna to place in your rear window (or place it on the trunk for a tacky look IMO).

I have an '06 and actually installed a shark fin antenna myself (not for the faint of heart). It would required drilling holes (obviously) into your roof and in my case I got creative with acquiring an antenna wire to connect it to the module in the trunk. I purchased 2 Vais Technology shark fin adapters, one for IS (female) and one for GS (male) and connected them with an SMB connector I purchased. In the end, it looks factory you would never think I have an 06.
