If you want to go lower and still mantain a nice ride quality you need to spend the cash. This is something I learned when I was young and stupid and lowered my Integra for the first time the wrong way.

This is so true, my car is lowered and I've gotten this many times "Wow your car rides like it's not even lowered".

Are you buying new or used wheels? If used and local, see if you can do a test fit and see if you like it or not then decide from there?
I got my wheels used and was able to test fit and see how they looked before I bought them. Just a thought
