Hey guys,

My fiancee's 2010 IS-C has the auto dimming mirrors that darken when light hits them at night. For some reason my 2011 350 has the tilting mirrors and is basically fully loaded besides parking sensors and it does not have this option...so maybe they got rid of it? Anyway...I'm wondering if there is a way to JUST buy these mirrors and buy pop them in? I contacted Sewell about it but haven't heard back. Or!!! Anyone who has them and doesn't like them...want to trade? : )

I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for a response from Sewell. I thought the tilting mirrors were automatically auto dimming?

Is it turned on? I believe u can turn it on and off using the rear view mirror. If you don't have it I am pretty sure u can buy it from sewell and it should work.

if you have the auto tilting mirrors you should have the auto dimming mirrors. i believe this feature is grouped as one package with the lexus plus value package

My side view mirrors don't automatically tilt downwards when I reverse but I do have the anti glare rear view mirror, there's two buttons to turn it on/off.

I haven't really noticed if my side view mirrors are anti glare but I'm assuming I do because the manual says, "When the anti glare inside rear view mirror is set to automatic mode, the outside view rear mirrors will activate in conjunction with the anti glare inside rear view mirror to reduce reflected light."

I guess I can check tonight.

Looked at the Lexus site and its says standard to have the Autodimming, I think you turned yours off, or you think its not working cause you still see lights in your rear-view, Not doubting you just that I see that it is standard on the lowest IS.

There are 2 button on the rear view mirror on the right side should look like this I O if is on then there should be a little green light on the bottom of the rear view mirror.

No, only the inside rear view mirror

Took it off the Lexus website:

The auto-dimming rear view mirror comes standard on both the 350 and 250 while the auto-dimming outside mirrors are under the "Luxury Plus Value Edition Package".

You said yours auto tilt-down in reverse, so you should have auto-dimming outside mirrors

Ok so I took some shots with my iPhone of what the difference between both cars are...you guys tell me what you think. The gray is the 2010 IS-C and the red is 2011 350...you can notice on the 2010 there is a ring around the dimming part.
