So I took my 08 350 in for some warranty work today and the dealership gave me a new 2011 250 as a loaner. Long story short I noticed the engine sounds more ballsy than even my 350. It has more of a slight rumble to it at high rpms that I haven't noticed on my car or the last 2010 250 loaner I had a few weeks ago. Anyone know if Lexus tinkered w/ the sound/setup of the engine for 2011? It actually sounds like the car has an aftermarket intake...which of course it doesn't because its a dealership bare bones loaner.

i have a 07 250 and got a 11 loander 250 and they sounded the same to me...i did like the head lights and integrated ipod though

I don't think so... why would they put an intake on a car that doesn't even have the 2011 LED headlights, NAV or anything other than strictly base stuff? I guess I can pop the hood at take a peak. I'm positive lexus had to have changed something though it sounds noticably different to me and a friend of mine who also has a stock 09 250.

Some dealerships equip their loaners with fsport accessories. I've seen a few being loaned out to customers at lexus of glendale

The muffler did change on the 2011's, and I've heard from a few people that they thought it sounded different than the earlier ones. I love the way mine sounds, but I didn't pay enough attention when driving earlier cars, so I can't say for sure how different it actually is.

i have a 2011 250, and its very quiet. Its too quiet. LOL

if you like a little more sound at high rpms, I def recommend the f-sport intake

That must be what it is then. I really like the new sound and I wish my 350 sounded this way...
