Default Gas mileage?? not clear

So ive been through quite a few threads and did a google and yahoo search and im finding very mixed answers on the gas mileage of a IS250 m/t, IS250 a/t, and IS350. I was also wondering if the AWD changes the gas mileage.

I figure most of you have your window stickers or have been to the dealership lately(my Lexus dealer is a hour and a half away) and could easily give me this information.

thanks

On a full tank being 15 gallons without passing 0mi into the reserve, you're at exactly 25mpg.

I just finished a tank at 27.5mpg on mostly city with like 20% highway.

Thanks for the link, lexzeke. I read some of these responses and was getting all nervous thinking something was wrong with my car. I have an '06 350 and get about 22mpg mixed city/hwy, exactly like your link says.

The average tank I get for my car is about 22 MPG for my IS 250 AWD.

I had recently had Lexus switch the unit conversion to be in metric (KM), so the cluster readouts of AVG, Tank AVG and current MPG are in L/100KM. I prefer to read it that way since I know how much fuel it would be based on distance instead of knowing the distance based on the fuel. Plus I like reading stuff in KM.

In terms of that, my AVG saids 9.9 L/100 KM and Tank Average of about 12 L/100KM. Since the AVG was reset, I expect that average to be close to 11 L/100 KM (almost equivalent to 22 MPG)

There is a difference, but I think the biggest factor is who is behind the wheel.

You're right, I apologize, my response was flippant and uncalled for.

As far as what will be listed in the window stickers of our cars, it will be the official EPA fuel economy figures, which can be found at the website I linked you to. The question is a very different one if posed as "What fuel economy do you get in your cars", since everyone's driving style is different, and many threads have been dedicated to just that question.

Yes, I would agree that this would be a primary factor as well. Assuming the same driver drives the same for RWD and AWD, there would be a difference. For what I know from what Kurtz has mentioned, AWD takes about an approximate 3 MPG hit due to the extra weight plus the engine working a bit more.

its ok calvin2376. i was just wanting some simple responses. wondering if these sites were correct or if they were off and if IS350s were close to IS250s or not. that was one of my biggest issues. because some said 1mpg different and others like 6mpg different in a/t. that makes a big difference. there is just too much varying information and i was hoping for some clarity

I still wonder why my gas mileage is so low compared to other IS350 owners. The best I've ever gotten was 16.7 MPG on a tank. My car is up to date on maintenance with fresh spark plugs, air filter, and oil. I also fill with Shell 93 octane. I know everyone will say I got heavy foot or something but I almost never pass 2500 RPMs while accelerating. My commute is like 12 miles each way taking 45 minutes with 5 miles being on the highway. On the highway going like 70-80 and driving fast, I get 29 but once I drive on regular streets, it's like 12 MPG all of the sudden.
