Default Car is in for a recall (IS250 AWD)

which recall is it that they do and Lexus gives a $500 credit... or am I imagining that part?

VSC light came on and would not go off. So it will be interesting to see what caused it. Thank goodness I have 4 more months left on warranty.

^^^ Yes. I think it's for the IS350 Valve Spring Recall where you leave you car with the dealer for a few days. That's to compensate the owner for the trouble.

^^^ It's definitely for the IS350. I already tried calling (I have a 250) and they told me it was only for the 350 valve spring issue.

UPDATE:

The Service Mgr called and said that the reason the VCS light came on was due to carbon build up. I did tell him that the car was shuddering... So they will de-carbonize and I hope it runs better.

What do I need to do to keep this from happening again?

^ YEP!

Just got my car de-carbonized. Being a little lead footed with the gas once in a while will help clear up all that carbon tho so you don't have the issue again
