OK, yeah, I knew I couldn't do the "override" thing with a new DVD in the '06 Nav. But, on the same page where that option was, there were several other options (which I can't recall), and as far as I remember could be accessed no other way. Anyone know how to get to those options, after a DVD change?

 

Sure. Press and hold the "INFO" button while you rapidly switch the headlight stalk between "Off" and "Parking Lights" about 5 times. The nav screen should switch to a diagnostic menu (with less sophisticated graphics)

 

Thanks, Bichon. I had printed out instructions (from this forum) years ago, to do that with the headlights, but when I read it today, I had no idea what the purpose was. I'll give that a try, just to refresh my memory as to what's on there...and this time I'll write it on those printed instructions...maybe.
