Default Help--Turning Seat Belt Alarm Off

I have a new IS250 AWD and would like to turn the seat belt alarm off. I have tried the solution listed under the "2IS FAQ". However, one of the steps is not clear to me. Step #7 says:

"and the odometer display should read "b ON" or "b OFF". toggle the beep OFF with the trip reset."

What does "toggle the beep OFF" mean?

Thanks!

it means once you get to that message, if you press the odo button the message will cycle between on and off. Press it once and it will turn the alarm off. Press it again, it will turn it back on, press it again, it will turn it off. That's what toggling means, same button but cycles to different settings/options as you keep pressing it...

This will be my first "mod" to do...along with removing the previous owners "satelite button" settings on the tach/speedo gauges. LOL!

Same here. City driving = no seatbelt. Highway driving = seatbelt. I mean, seriously, if you're doing under 40mph, why should I wear a seatbelt. Cars are designed to handle these collisions hence the gagillion airbags in our cars. How many people wore seatbelts back in the 60's and 70's?!?

I seriously hope you are kidding.. I've been to several fatal collisions at under 40mph. With all due respect, you are an idiot if you aren't wearing your seatbelt while driving. You may only drive 25mph, but that doesn't mean the person who hits you will be driving it as well.

And your car might be designed to withstand a collision, but I can promise you that YOU are not.

Took the words right out of my mouth...

How do you not automatically put on your seatbelt when you get into the car? I do it without even realizing i'm doing it half the time. It would actually take more effort and thought to take it off...
