When I start the car , I notice a shake when the motor is starting.

One running, no shake.

Am I being paranoid? Is this normal?

If it is, it's just your engine turning. If it's a slight shake, I wouldn't worry about it. But if its bad then I'd have it checked out. (like a heavy heavy vibration)

 

Get the motor mounts checked for sure.

Typically a cold start, yes.

 

yeah they're right,on cold weather usually they tend to have a little shake specially if you have a modified exhaust,but after a while it will get smoother when becomes warm.if symptom persist,consult a specialist.

 

my 07 started like that and got progressively worse. I just got service under warranty and they de-carbonized it. Is your car still under warranty?
