Caught dead with a fake or rather spend more? (wheels)

Everything in life is a replica. Everything is a copy of a copy.
I'll buy replicas that I know are of good quality, from friends, reviews.
When I go to the Pharmacy i'll make sure I don't buy the Generic drug brand for $7.00 when I can get the "REAL ONE" for $195. Give me a break. Not everyone can afford to spend $3,000 on wheels. There is a trade off with the replicas there usually heavy but that does not mean they are crappy build quality. Run into a curb doing 50mph and i'm sure the Volk rim will be just as damaged as the Rota rim.

My brother bent his Volk LE-37s on the highway hitting a pothole... and those were $700 a piece per rim.

Its not about money its about style. Ive seen guys on here that spent a couple grand on wheels and they dont look good on the car. When you're cruising down the street and someone turns to check out your ride they cant tell what brand you're rockin. Just if it looks good or not. Check out my sig and my 18" G37 reps for $140 each. Sure they are close to the OEM 17's but you cant tell me they dont look pretty damn good on the car.
